We will be implementing a document management system within 6 months. Does anyone have any suggestions as to hardware/software suggestions for an effective system integration? Or can refer me to white papers?

I haven't done the research, my co-worker has but we're ready to implement the software quite soon. (within next couple of months, also got a hundred other projects going on at the same time!)
