Cable select or pull out tab in drive which is the best way to run WD with one master and no slave? In raid zero>?:D

there is a single mode for WD drives. use that.

you mean the JUMPER. yeah you can do that, but I would put it in the neutral position for future use. (see the link I posted for pictures)

Looks like the safest way is to just yank jumpers out, leave them in could cause a conflict?

put the jumper in the neutral position as shown on the diagram. that's the same as pulling the jumper out. this will not affect the drive at all. it's basically like a storage place.
