It started when I was to lazy to go outside to the gate. so i had to wait an extra day to recieve my modem. my dad brought it in. i installed the drivers and plugged in the modem. line was all set to go. the make an account thing wasnt working so i called them up.
this is where the fun ended and all hell broke loose. first there "regester servers" were down"
so i called about 6 hours later. while iwas using my firends dsl sccount (shhh! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif) anyways it was pretty quick and my pings rocked and all blah blah. so i called up and they said they could setup my sccount over the phone. (i was like GREAT!) i told them my cc number this numnbeer name blah blah. CC number didnt go thru was like
WTF?! so i said fine and hanged up. called agai nsame ****. called again the lady didnt help me AT ALL! called once again and fianlly got it setup. i think the others didnt do a thing becuase i sounded like a little kid( I HATE IT WHEN THEY DO THAT!) i was fully Authorized by my dad to do this and my dad wasnt home.
so i finally logged on as my own account. worked out great. then troble started coming. modem gave me restarts while loading the desktop. (for free!) or it would crash. then the modem would randomly lock up the system( I think this was related to the virus tho) and then the modem fully QUIT on me i called them up and asked for a PCI internal modem. they said 7-10 days. i got it in just 2 days. and now im on my 3com modem.
now this thing just flys and pages load quickly (even my dad says its faster than starband!)
My pings are also. !!WOW!! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif
around 20-90MS on most of the TFC servers and counter stirke servers. tho i wish it would download the server lists a tad faster.
anyways...no more 56krap!
