is not bad

but SATA / ATA will take a long while before it can lower its time to match SCSI

but compared to other IDE drives, then yeah it's smooooth.

Well, these JBs (I also have a 1200) way rock compared to my 1st generation 4LPs (Cheetahs) on a 0+1 dual channel raid! They were the stuff in their day!

Dont you mean WD800JBL drive? Anyhow i have that-and yes it does fly. I noticed the tach was high too. Very happy.:t

The read speed is low for a 15k SCSI drive though..:( Wondering what happened there.:confused: It should be alot higher.

I find the WD800BB that I've got to be plenty fast as well. This line of WD800's are REALLY good. Nuff' said. :D :D
