Playstation 2 Question

I've been thinking about getting a PS2 for awhile now, I have a PS One. I was wondering if anyone can tell me if the PS2 loads/runs faster and if graphics/sound is better on old PS1 titles when played on the PS2?

PS2 has a feature that can SLIGHTLY enhance PS1 textures... Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, and sometimes it will make the games look worse... When it does work, don't expect very much... But overall I agree with ND, if you want a PS2 and good graphics, get PS2 games.

hey dude u should wait they are releasing the PS X next year first thing in janury and actually they are realing this year in japon

No, he is right. PSX is what they are calling the New PS2's. I was a little confused myself when I first read an article on in last month. It all sounds good but the price is gonna be a little more hefty than the $299 that most consoles usually start out with. :eek:

FF Anthologies
Parasite Eve
Bushido Blade

and so on...

well with the PS X ( PS3 ) u can play all games from ps1 and ps2

Why won't Sony stop screwing with our minds. Originally PSX meant the original PS. But now it means PS3. WTHeck is going on. They should just rename it PS3 or PS2+ or somethng of that nature.

for $399 you can get one that's colored :rolleyes:

hey, 199 can get you the online version of PS2 :D or $250 can get you a nice pack that is the online version with some other games and an extra controller if I'm not mistaken :)


I have a PS2 and I don't even use it, roflmao. What a waste of $200 It's fun when you're on the road though.

yah i know man i just use mine as a dvd player, computer games rock console games becuz i hate the crampped controllers

The Japanese want to compete with Microsoft's X-Box so they come out with this weird console set. You should play PS2 games on PS2 as the latter is built to play DVD-quality CDs. Don't waste your money and play PS1 games on that black console.
