I have 2 hard drives, a 10GB and a 12GB, and a 40x CD-ROM, and since today a 12/10/32 CD-RW. How do I want to set these up in my computer for the fastest operation?

Current Configuration:
Primary Master - 10GB (Windows 2000)
Primary Slave - 12GB (music and movies)
Secondary Master - CD-ROM

I will be transfering most files from the 12GB HD to the CD-RW. Where should I put the CD-RW? Secondary Slave?

I have always been curious as to if the devices are on the same cable if they will transfer data slower, faster or equal between eachother, then if being on different cables. Any help is greatly appriciated!
