OK, in my previous thread i asked how to format drives, And i just formated it.

The new harddrive i was formating was suppose to be 80 gB's but it on ly shows up as like 30 g.'s.... Maybe it was missprinted online.... He got it from Pricewatch an IBM....

Is other hardrive is 30 gige's also. And that would equal only 60 gb's all together. That doesn't even reach Windows ' Limit which is 120 gb's. or soo...

My friend told me that maybe its his bios reading it incorrect...
He has HP.... wi/ Pheonx bios...

your bios is probably screwing you up. see if you can download an update.

if that doens't work, then you may need to install an ata controller card or use ezbios software to get the system to recognize the entire size.

If you're using XP, it can only create FAT32 partitions of 36GB or less.

WEll, it is NTFS. and Even before it was formatted it showee up as 30 gb's.

I goonna tell him to update his bios. and see if that works
