Click to See Complete Forum and Search --> : 3 7200 RPM Hard drives, 1 CD-R. Having some trouble.
I have a KT7 board NOT a KT7-Raid (DOH!) And after intalling the 3rd HD I am having some troublw getting my CD-Rom to work like it used to. I can still burn fine but the Drive is REALLY Slow when it comes to reading and acts funny.
Can anybody help me out with this? I would appreciate it. Thanks

I'm assuming that you have two hard drives on IDE1 and the CD & third hard drive on IDE2. I would put the third hard drive as master on IDE2 and the CD as the slave.
This may sound like a stupid question, but did you set the jumpers so that one is master and one is slave?
Well thats what I thought at first so thats how I had them set. But I swapped them for fun Just to see and that did not help.
Could it be something in the Bios???
I have a new 16X CD-R on the way and want to make sure that it works properly.
Can Anyone think of anything else??
Thanks
