You haven't done any harm. You've just kept them from starting with Windows.
After AdAware and Spybot have dealt with them, download and install SPYWARE BLASTER (http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=2859), a small freeware program that prevents these leeches from ever getting into your system in the first place. It will present you with a list of spyware highlighted in red. Choose "select all" and you're done, unless you want to take advantge of it's restore feature which will take a snapshot of your now healthy system just in case things get nasty in future.
If you are serious about keeping this scum out of your computer, use all three of these programs.

sorry i forgot to tell. i use adaware + spybot. maybe it did not use them for some days. i ran them just today. some other programs had similar dialer popups when i finally could delete them(dialer-pop when trying to delete). but one is staying in the software-box(add/delete-box).
i even have the spyware-newsletter but always wanted to install spyblaster.... i will do now. but i guess its will not kick the listed program out, since i have already deleted some entries, possibly belonging to it.
i know there is a possibility deleting such entries if there are no other remainings around. who knows the secret?

Sometimes it is easier to rename these files when you find them. Just change one letter in the extension. This tricks the spyware into thinking nothing is wrong and it won't replace the entry.

i hav used spywareblaster and in addition have made an additional search in registry.
i i had to enter the exact program-word
2. i have found it in two locations.
first location/right side: i do not know which one cause left side was not high-lighted.. one folder showed subfolders. was this the location?
second location for that program which i could not remove from software-box:
it was in uninstall+displayname-sections
in spywareblaster is said that using it could prevent me using the others(adaware, spybot).
is this only a warning from the programmer that he does not want to be responsible for problems caused by interactions.
i know we cannot discuss the whole issue here. i will go to the special forum of spybot), but thanks anyway for a hint.
i will always run adaware first. then spybot. when do i have to run spywareblaster.it seems it is only a protector , not a remover.

Before making changes to the registry it is important to make a backup. (Registry > Export Registry File)
When you highlight the name on the right side you lose the highlight on the left side. Right click the name and choose "rename." Rename it by putting an "X" on the end of it or something simple like that so you can find it again if you want to change it back. This has the same effect as deleting the entry but prevents it from coming back.
When you make changes to the registry there is always the chance that Windows will not restart and you will then have to start in "safe mode" and import that copy of the registry that you just saved.

I don't think they are talking about AdAware and Spybot but rather, programs like Kazaa that incorporate spyware and will not run if the spyware is removed or prevented from loading. I use all three (AdAware, Spybot and Spyware Blaster) without any conflict. You can always use KazaaLite which has the malware removed.

When you search with the updated version of Spybot it will give a message that some software could not be removed. You simply say yes to let it run on reboot. It will scan the drive before other processes load and delete the spyware.
I also use Adaware and Spyware Blaster with no problems. Spyware Blaster simply stops known bad software from running ActiveX controls. This prevents them from being installed from the internet. It usually will not affect what is already installed.

if you use spybot, then adaware, the latter could detect spyware which spybot has in quarantine(or is this the wrong expression?).
thanks for the good registry instructions. i will only delete when i am absolute sure.
question not yet answered. will i see where my searched item is located just after the search without highlighting it at right side?
i must use all 3 programs much more regularly.
everything is working now.

The expression seems right.
I've never had that problem but I suppose there is a chance of that happening. If we see AdAware come up on Spybot's list we can always uncheck it before proceeding. AdAware allows you to ignore certain items automatically. I don't recall whether or not Spybot can do this automatically but it is easy enough to do manually.

It just searches for words. I would rename whatever is highlighted no matter which side it is on. Sometimes, entries may have the same name as those used by other programs, so try to determine that the highlighted entry applies to the program that you are trying to disable. This doesn't happen very often but it is something to look out for.

i will start all over again.
i am searching for an item in registry and i have found it on one place, at right side. how will the left side behave(show all subfolders?) so that i know in which folder this item is located.
somebody wrote earlier that highlighting will make this location disappear. maybe i must find this out the next time.
btw: spybot is warning you at first start about the adaware-behaviour.

It should be the last item on the left side. Highlight the last item to verify that it is the correct folder. Is this what you mean?
