Looks like they have all the info you would need http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif muno 06-07-2001, 09:09 PM If you don't need it, don't install it. d3d should work fine for everything if you have nvidia chip, glide if you have voodoo. I find that everything runs horribly slow with openGL (Asus TNT3400tv (nvidia)). -M JacobM5727 06-07-2001, 09:51 PM my video card is an ati rage IIc muno 06-07-2001, 10:26 PM ATI should work fine with d3d. (Forgot that there are other chip manufacturers also, my apologies =) But, openGL drivers should be available from, ie. www.3dfiles.com. (http://www.3dfiles.com.) -M NDD 06-08-2001, 08:45 AM Try GLsetup (http://www.glsetup.com/) , this will install most current drivers for your card including OpenGL support (if possible) Best Regards ... RobRich 06-08-2001, 08:54 AM Those suffering OpenGL performance problems should analyze their particular configuration closer, as OGL is one of the most efficient 3D API's ever developed. Muno, be sure to disable OGL v-sync for your TNT for optimum performance, as this can effect frame rates by 40-60% for most TNT-x chipset users. To the question at hand, the ATI IIc offers questionable OpenGL support at best. ATI did release an OpenGL ICD for NT 4, but I am unware if the last Win9x drivers included support. Even if it does, do not expect great performance as the IIc only offers miminal 3D acceleration due to its age. The latest driver download can be obtained from Rage3D: http://www.rage3d.com/files/drivers/r2driver.shtml Good Luck, Robert Richmond JacobM5727 06-08-2001, 02:03 PM yeah this system is mighty old... about three years thanks everyone HfdWolfPack 06-12-2001, 08:45 AM When I first played CS, it was D3D and I thought the game was lousy graphically. Then I set it to use Open GL and it looks purty Shweet. Asus Geforce2 GTS deluxe. MiKe85 06-12-2001, 10:24 AM Yes, ATI should be fine with d3d.
