I've been dealing with a company for a while now via email. The other day I got 2 emails with the same heading sent at around the same time. The first was fine but the second contained an attachment "Happy99.exe". I scanned the attachment and found out it was a virus.
I trust the company (its a one woman firm) & I believe she didn't send it. So does anyone have any idea how this happened?

Happy99 is a worm that sends itself to everyone in the infected computer's adress book. If she doesn't have anti-virus protection, she can do a search for "happy99 removal" on google, there are a few sites with a batch file that will remove it from the system.

I have also received a file from a friend that did have "Happy99.exe" on it..
Later that day, i e-mailed my friend and he did a search and got rid of it, and sent an e-mail apologizing to everyone on his address book.

That kind of worried me, when i got that file from a friend, thinking "WHAT IS THIS KID DOING?!?!" =)

Just as golfcart says, all you have to do is search for "happy99 removal"
