Anyone have a nice simple way to monitor a HP network printer?
It's a printer with it's own network card, and own ip# using tcp/ip. I would like to know what ip# on the network is connecting to it and HP's Web admin doesnt seem to be able to do that.

..errrrh... you might have misssed it during install

but most HP printers drivers / software has that Extra software to monitor LAN printers build in

it actually asks you if you want to install it on or not

if you don't have it, you might be able to get a copy from the HP website

I use HP's Web JetAdmin utility and you can do alot of things with it but I cannot find anything that will give me the ip# of the machine that is sending the current job, or any job for that matter.

hmm... but you should be able to see the name of the User or at least the name of the PC that Queued the job

So I thought too but in the jobs area some jobs show a user name, some dont and none of the jobs of which I need to trace show a username or anything to id who sent it. I'd pretty much need an ip# anyway. It appears to me that the web jetadmin browser based application is not for what I am needing. It does do many other things quite nicely.
