October 22nd perhapse, I could buy it for my birthday. I love it when Intel realizes it cannot sell chip that cost $50 to make to the general public for $200 once they are outdated. I bought some sound stuff today, bug stuff, and while my sound will probably never be outdated ever again (300W+speekers, even monster cable!!!), I am broke, and in a bit of debt. Once I buy a sound card, 2 12x cdrom drives, and a 366mhz M2, I will start saving for my next system, selling my present one will help (although these price cuts are not going to help). I am gona get a Camino board with a Coppermince chip once they come out, I might get AMD, but I don't want to pay more than $150 for the motherboard, and then only a superbe one, most likely a SOYO. I get paid like nothing a this job, come this time next year, I will be buying stuff like crazzy.

Here's a news clipping I just picked up.

Intel is cutting down their prices on the P2 and P3s. I think the P2 400 will be as little as $180 now. Read the article though.

Isn't it fun to watch the Giant manipulate the market? These price cuts were roadmapped for 9/6. All it takes is a little heel nipping from AMD and the callendar changes.

I hope this means the "Coppermine" PIIIs will be moved back up from December to maybe October. I don't believe the line about the i820 "Camino" chipset being the reason for the holdback.
