just don't open unsolicited emails in the first place!
that's why you gotta get a corporate antivirus program at work. make sure all systems have the latest definitions and force them to keep antivirus turned on. I know some people that would turn off antivirus so they could get more speed. geez.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it says it will affect unpatched systems; so if you are up to date you should't need to worry.

bugbear is capable of printing garbage to network and shared printers, what kind of garbage does it print? I have a HP 4200n standalone network printer which has been spitting out an entire paper tray's worth of paper with only a few lines (and some blank pages) of very strange characters. Is this bugbear or somebody sending some strange file to the printer? I have to track this down but cant localize it to a specific user or ip# so I dont know if I'm dealing with a virus or an idiot (uninformed user)
Try restarting your network/ printer/ hub. That is normally just a spooling / data error - not normally a virus, Happens when spooling data goes corrupt, normally due to an inturruption in data packets. Used to happen to my 98 SE PC. No virus though
