Unless they are just experiencing massive systems problems, it appears that Fortune City has shut down their operation. Their main website and all of their member's websites are absolutely unreachable. I'll be a little upset if they did shut down, considering that they could have given those of us with websites a warning so that we could at least archive our sites prior to shutdown. It's getting darn hard to find reliable webspace nowadays.

why would you want to use their service anyway ?..its sooo slow.

FortuneCity used to be an excellent service, of course that was two years ago. Now they have (or had) a crapload of popup ads that would appear on your sites. I've only been using their service to archive my old sites, until I had the drive to transfer them to my ISP.

I have used them in the past too, but I was not happy with the service and soon switched.

They were slow and, as was stated above, the banners were very annoying.
