Sorry if this is a dupe, but I searched for a7m266 and overclock and all I saw was articles on overclocking a 1.4ghz processor.

I have a 2100 palomino and this mobo. Any easy ways to overclock? Any guides links or info would be greatly apreciated. Thanks,

Unless you unlock the multiplier (on the cpu itself) and perform a motherboard mod, you're limited to just raising the fsb.

I can raise it via jumpers? How fast can I get it (and still be stable?) If I purchase the a7v8x mobo, will it allow me to unlock the CPU or is unlocking cpu dependant and not mobo dependant?

unlocking is cpu dependent, but nforce2 mobos unlock it automatically.

no, you cant raise the multi by jumpers, the only interesting jumper on the mobo will be for fsb.

what you can do is join/ cut bridges to change the default multi.

Even w/ an nForce2 mobo you still have to unlock the palomino by closing it's L1 bridges.

Unless they came out w/ a later version of the Asus a7m266 that has a variable multiplier option... you are limited to just raising the fsb.
