What do you mean by "make available"? To just a few people or to the whole world?

One place I've used for sharing mp3s with a small circle of friends is MyPlay.com (http://www.myplay.com) . You can sign up for a free music storage account in just a few seconds...but what's nice about it is they give 3GB of storage space.

This method is really only feasible for a small group of people because you need to let the other people actually access the account in order to share the files. Whoever you want to share with, just send them the login name/password so they can login to your storage space, and from there they can download the mp3s (or if they have a fast connection they can just play the mp3 from it's location and listen to it streaming.)

As for sharing with mass people, that's a tough one. I don't really have answer. I share mp3s by putting them on my web site, but this limits me to sharing only 1 or 2 files at a time.

The MyPlay account is really not a bad way to go. Some time ago I helped another user share his massive collection of Dennis Miller comedy bits. He had about 3GB of material. (He had ALL the opening monologs from every show of HBO's "Dennis Miller Live". From the first show in 1994 to present, cataloged and in chronological order.) I helped him put all that material into a MyPlay locker, and then proceeded to share the account's name/password with probably hundred's of people...and not one person did anything bad to the account. In fact, the account is still there and still has 3GB of Dennis Miller "rants". I was very impressed with the courtisy and manners everyone showed.
-(don't know why, just thought I'd share that story with ya. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif)

If you have a good connection a ftp server will work. I use a www.dns2go.com (http://www.dns2go.com) address.

FTP servers are good, that is what i suggest also.. (If your on Cable or DSL)

Once you put some MP3s for download, you'll have to tell us the link, or FTP server http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif

Hey jad1097, I just had a look at the link you gave me.

If I understood this correctly, then, the mp3's would be on MY computer and it would have to be running most of the time for others to download ?.

I would rather find a service that would allow me to UPLOAD my mp3's so that others could download them from that destination.

Know of any service ?.
