My arms hurt, my arms are bruised, I had a killer headache, had to get up at 6 this morning. Not a good combination.

Alton Towers is a theme park set in the grounds of, em, Alton Towers. It has some great rides, the best of which is Oblivion. This is one hell of a ride, let me explain:

1) Sit in a seat, strapped in.
2) Tray moves off and climbs up a steep slope on a chain. Each 2" movement is a "Clunk" from the rachet system.
3) On the flat, moving round a corner.
4) Come to the edge, move over and stop.
5) "Don't Look Down". Oh I forgot to mention, you are vertical 50ft above a black steamy hole.
6) Wait, wait, wait. Drop. Plumment to the ground, weightless and out of breath.
7) Woomph, you dissappear into pitch black and are covered in a fine mist.
8) Womph back out and vertical again as you go round a VERY tight left hand bend.
9) Up a slight hill and brakes stop you.

Your stomach is in your mouth and it is such a blast!
