CPU temp

Im running an AMD 2600+, on an epox 8rda+ mobo, what kinds of temperatures should i be expecting with this thing? there is an option in the bios to set a warning if it reaches a certain temp, and to totally shut down after a certain temp is reached....but i have no idea what normal temperatures are....

Anywhere up to the mid 50C mark is fine

AMD Athlon XP run between 50-60degrees..

My server, which has a huge workload (game server for games and internet gateway) operates in between 53-56degC. I have not encountered a single crash or hang-up.

Workstations(also Athlon Xps) operate at temps between 52-55degC .

I remember when I was assembling one PC, I accidentally installed the heatsink incorrectly... There was a gap, thus not much contact between the proc and HS.

It went over 80deg then it automatically shutdown. I didn't notice this at first...

i have a friend that turned his pc 24/7.. over 1 week and his pc automatic shut down..
