i wanted to buy an MSI 875p motherboard (about 270$ CND) but then i say the msi 865pe motherboard i don't really see much of a difference betren the 2 mobos but the msi 865pe is only
150$ CND whitch one do you think is the best?

neither. I would look at the Asus boards P4P800 or P4C800.

ND is right about the PAT and ECC support on the 875 chipset. You don't need ECC and Asus supposedly figured out a trick to get PAT on thei 865 board. see the link I posted above.

As for the MSI:

There’s definitely something amiss with this board, but whether it is hardware or software related is hard to say. I personally am hoping that it is BIOS related, because given the performance and the BIOS related overclocking feature present, I have a hard time not liking this board. Maybe MSI will get there stuff together on this, and have one killer solution…

The MSI 865PE is quite good though - Computer Power User magazine did quite a sendup on it this month. It seems that MSI included automatic selective overclocking...
