would be interested, like i said am planning on doing some modding in this WC area and was wondering as to best method

that one you got is by far the most dramatic. is that one of those arrangements where you got to keep an eye on the water level?

Yes you have to keep an eye on the water level. However, if you look at the base on my tower you will see I used clear PVC for the straight section so that I can easily see the water level at all times.
