Has anyone gone to any of those Market Pro shows? I've always stayed away from them but some guy at work was going on about how you get great quality stuff there.

I go to them pretty often. You can find some decent deals sometimes. Make sure you know a GOOD DEAL about what you want. Alot of the time, they will provide false info to you, such as, this product is as good as the one you want, and a few bucks cheaper. Its usually false.
People are there to make sales, not to educate you or help you know more about what your buying.

Just about everything I own that's computer related I get from MarketPro shows. As long as you know what you're looking for you'll get great prices.

A friend and I bought about 6 monitors over the last year. One of them crapped out. We brought it back to the next show and, since they didn't have that model with them, the vendor shipped him a new one from his store at his own expense!
All the vendors I've dealt with have their own Brick & mortar stores so it's not like flea markets where they get your cash and disappear http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif

hey i know this topic is old and i felt there was no need to start a new one. they had the show over here this weekend and i tell you that if this show comes to where you live at least check it out. they have awsome prices!!! i picked up a stick of pc 133 128 mb, a 3 com isa network cord, and a 11 bay case w/ a 300 watt ps all for under a $100!!! check it out!!
