how can I find out what kind of motherboard is on one of my computers... the reason I want to do this is because I want to put a faster cpu in it but I need to know what it supports and what it doesnt. thanks for u help

The best way is to open the case and fetch the numbers off. Use them to search in Google.

Get Aida32:

http://www.aida32.hu/download/aida32pe_350.exe

Download that and install it. It will tell you everything about your hardware and link you to the place to get your BIOS - usually.
