Hey, guys!

This morning I just bought a motherboard, a processor, a strip of DDRRAM and an IBM/Hitachi 40GB harddisk.

Altogether I spent $718 Singapore dollars on those spare parts today!

This thread is to allow all the people who have just upgraded their computers and compare prices internationally.

:D

Singapore dollars are not real money. We would only be comparing apples to oranges. You'll have to convert that to US Dollars, the worlds only real money. :D

I'm wanting to upgrade.

I wanna get me a XP 2500+ Barton, Epox 8rda+ w/nforce 2, 2x 256mb pc3200. total will be coming out $272.98, mobo+cpu from new egg, and ram from Crucial itself :) Kinda funny that Crucial will sell that ram for the same price that new egg will sell it oem

IF we were gonna compare prices it would also be a good idea for you to list the specifics of the components in question ;)

Where can I find a website that can tell me the exchange rate of different currencies? Then maybe we can use that system to compare prices.

I bought a Pentium 4 2.4GHz B 533Mhz processor, an Intel Desktop Board D845PESV, a IBM/Hitachi 40GB harddisk and a 512MB TwinMos DDRRAM.

The Pentium 2.4GHz C processor is already available in my country but the motherboard that supports it is very expensive. So I bought the B series processor instead.

The processor costs $300

The motherboard costs $200

The DDRRAM costs $108

The harddisk costs $110

:D

Anyway, I like to ask some of you something.

Where can I get Xvid codecs? Can Divx codecs work on Windows Media Player 9 (Win XP as OS)? Where can I get all the common video codecs? Well! I'm a hardcore movie goer so I hope some of you can help me.

Finally, I'm using Win XP Professional and abandoning Win 98 SE. It's been quite long since I started using Win 98 SE.

Now with my new spare parts, I hope I can play as many games as possible.

The website is great, man! Is it a 24hr website? That means its stats can change occasionally.
