Hi

I hope someone can help me. I'm using Windows 98 and Outlook (Not Express) 2002. Recently I came across a .plc.uk email address. When I sent an email to that address I got the message

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

Kevin Sharratt on 30/05/03 15:11
None of your e-mail accounts could send to this recipient.

Aubrey Suffel (aubrey@encoredirect.plc.uk) on 30/05/03 15:11
None of your e-mail accounts could send to this recipient.

I rang the company & checked the address, It was OK. Somebody from the company emailed me, I received it OK but when I replied I got the same message. I have tried turning off the autocheck, it did not help.

Any suggestions

Thanks for any help

Kev:)

Your domain may be on an RBS blacklist.

What was the exact error message you received.

Omendata is Inversely right :D (right bu not right)

yes there is a problem with the DOMAIN name

but is not your fault

THEY "encoredirect.plc.uk" have to fix their DOMAIN whatever their trouble is

before you can reply back via email to them.

here are the possible causes

1. did not renew Domain name
2. BLACK LISTED in RBL internet relay blacklist and spammer list
3. their settings for MX record is Bad
4. their DNS is not resolvable by anyother unknown error

http://www.whois-search.com/index.php?query=encoredirect.plc.uk&submit=Search

if you see that, they are not expiring until July

so there might be something wrong with their servers or config or firewall or something in their end

ahh good, found out

it was something wrong with their ISP servers

it should be working now

> set type=mx1
> encoredirect.plc.uk

Non-authoritative answer:
encoredirect.plc.uk MX preference = 50, mail exchanger = relay.tobitmail.net
encoredirect.plc.uk MX preference = 90, mail exchanger = relay1.tobitmail.net
encoredirect.plc.uk MX preference = 10, mail exchanger = mail.tobitmail.net

encoredirect.plc.uk nameserver = dns1.tobitmail.net
encoredirect.plc.uk nameserver = dns0.tobitmail.net
dns0.tobitmail.net internet address = 213.38.40.137

you can try the other addresses too
