hello all i have a serious question who can tell me how to link a blank icon to an exe file to launch that program

Just right click on the icon and go to properties and make the target to the EXE file...

i have win98 and i have new shortcut in my new menu when i right click. if you do, just select new shortcut, and tell it what program http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Hi,
Right-click on said icon. In the context-sensitive menu highlight and click on Open With. You have an Open With box. Go to the program that you wish to open said icon with. If it is not listed, click on Other, browse, and find the .exe file you are after and click on it. Unless you want to open said icon permanently with chosen program then leave 'Always use this program to open this file' un-ticked.
