Hello every one,
I decided to upgrade my HDisk, because mine was only ATA33 6.4 Gb and cause lots of problems already.
And I have read news about RAID, they said RAID 0 will give an increase performance in speed. So, how many percent of increase will RAID give? Is it worth to spent 30% more on the performance?

RAID 0 is simply striping. It has the RAID name as it is derived from the other striping RAIDs, most notably RAID 5 (striping with parity), but RAID 0 is not fault tolerant. In fact, your chance of failure doubles, since failure of either disk will make the data on the other disk useless.

Unless you have the hardware to support simultaneous reads and/or writes, you won't see any increase at all. SCSI is typically the best bet when looking for performance increases from RAID.

The short answer, I doubt you'll see anything close to a 30% increase with IDE drives. You're more likely to see a substantial increase in performance by upgrading the drive itself to one with better seek and throughput times.
