im trying to set up both my computers on lan, I have DSL connected to a router which is then connected to both of my computers. Now the internet works fine, but from one computer I can't find teh other one. As if it weren't connected to my network.
So I can't share any of my files
one of my computers is running winXP and the other win98.
Can anyone help Me

Is Simple yet complicated :p
the reason, it's the DNS
right now each PC is looking for your DSL provider for the DNS
so they can see out but not back through the NAT of your router
so if you want to be seen locally
then set your gateway and DNS to be your router instead of your ISP numbers

Internet working, but not LAN, is usually a result of Sharing Settings not done, or not done correctly.
Log to this page there is links to Sharing settings of Win98 and WinXP.
