There the motherboards have dual ddr channel thing
I want to know if it's better and how it works
because i see two sets of sockets each two
the first motherboard says it has to be used with a 800 front side bus processor and ddr 400 ram
Does that mean if i don't use 800 fsb processor it won't function as dual channel? and what does it exactly do?, the dual ddr?
I DON'T GET IT!!

Dual channel motherboards have a memory controller that can address separate sticks of RAM individually rather than in sequence. This speeds up many memory operations. In the case of this board, you do need PC3200 and a 200MHz CPU. Sad.

The 800 MHz FSB is for the latest Pentium 4's. The 200 Mhz FSB is for the latest AMD Athlon XPs (Barton core). The latter (so far) apply to motherboards with the nForce2 chipset and a BIOS that can support such CPUs, which are a very recent release.

in a situation such as the following, a machine with 512mb RAM, a machine with 2x256mb would run marginally faster due to the dual channel, than compared to the single 512 stick
Every little bit helps

I want to check out Sim Lim Square to see whether this motherboard is available or not.

Does the dual channel take advantage of Intel full 800Mhz FSB?

Only if you use a 200MHz P4.

I thought 800 front side bus was the latest one out?
how is this lower numbered one better than others?
this is 200mhz and the latest one out is 800mhz? i don't understand

Always multiply the actual FSB x 4 in Intel setups. It's not really an 800MHz bus. It's more like 4 buses at 200MHz. I'm beginning to hate having to explain this...

thx and sorry bipolarbill
but you are really helping me a lot with this

Just to make sure you're really mixed up, Athlon systems are only FSB x 2.

is 133 the standard one now then?
133x2=266?
what's the latest one out and is it better than P4 even though it's less number?

No - the latest Athlons are also FSB 200 x 2. You can still buy 133 and 166MHz versions.
