***viBe*** aka vibe666 aka Chris has decided to step down as team captain due to increased work duties and lack of regular internet access.
I'm sure we'll miss his leadership and devotion to seti-crunching. He started this team with nothing but a desire to achieve something for the SysOpt DC project and after 2 years we are where we are today with over 150,000 work units to our credit.
I wish him the best of luck and hope that one day he'll be able to take up the sword once again.
3 cheers!!

sorry about that guys, but its gonna be really hard for me to be crunching anything at all now.
I used to be able to do it at work, but since they introduced a proxy server my seti@home clients (on a bunch of PC's in the office) can't connect to the berkeley servers to get WU's any more. Since I don't have a home PC, I don't have any way at all of contributing any output to our totals.
I'll be handing over the reins (website etc.) to RampageIII (if he doesn't mind the extra responsibility) because he's been here with me since the very beginning and has always contributed time and effort to the cause.
Sorry to be letting you down guys, but I'm kinda stuck. If things change I'll be right back crunching ASAP, but at the moment, it's not looking too likely I'm afraid.
I'll keep in touch, and keep on checking from time to time to see how you're all doing, but for now my crunching days are over.:(
Sorry guys:t

Ouch Vibe, that's pretty harsh.
The reason I am not crunching as much as I could be here at the office is we also have a Proxy Server, and I know what a pain that can be.
Have you looked into using MS Proxy Client? It allows you to have unrestricted access through the firewall/proxy server, while maintaining security. Are you administrating this network, or are you using it solely as a user?
Proxy Client allows you to surf without having to identify yourself to the server all the time, using only your authenticated domain/network credentials instead. The process is invisible and painless.
Email me at adam@jsrl.com if you have any other questions!
Hope to hear from you soon!

We're sorry to see you go. That really stinks that you can't get through to the Seti servers any more. Do you have any idea of what the proxy server is that they are using?
Thanks for carrying the reins for all of us for so long. We really appreciate you creating the group for all of us to contribute to and have fun with.
