3DMark2001SE Won't Run

Every time I try to run 3DMark2001SE I get the error that DX8 is not installed.

I have DX9 installed, and underinstalling DX8 did not work.

Radeon 9500 Pro Cat 3.4
Win XP Sp1
Athlon XP 1800+
256MB RAM

Any ideas?

go to start...run...and type in ...

dxdiag


run all the DX tests etc..and see if you have any problems.
If so...try re-installing the drivers.

that's Odd, it works for me

also running Catalyst 3.4

and the first thing i ran after it finished installing was the 3DMarks2001 and 2003

both worked, no errors

as per speed performance inclease, no much

I had this problem. You need to download the build 330 patch for 3dmark 2001se.
