is it possible to upgrade from Windows 2000 server to the new 2003 server, keeping settings, users, etc the same, especially the domain.

Yes you can, but Server 2003 is a limited-time activation. In 120 days, you must uninstall it.

Not necessarily true BPB:

My copy has a 360 day eval. timebomb.

Isn't the final version released yet? It was due April 23 or so.

we got it here in the office already
as many of our customers

and man, prepare for trouble

all INCLUDING MS EXCHANGE SERVER 2000 !!!!!

has trouble with it

MS will realize a "patch" soon for the MSE server 2000, to work "OK" again

that already is a big give away of what awaits you for other NON MS softwares

and indeed on a brand new machine, tried to install a pile of apps, all gives errors

they either detect it as being WinNT 4 or throw you some funky MSI error

LOL :r

so don't be so happy getting the 2003 so soon, until you have 2003 APPROVED logo softwares

:t

now you can imagine the nitemare i was refering to if you UPgrade from 2000 server to 2003 with old programs already installed
