Hi all,
Anyone have any suggestions on this?
I had a pc a few years old, 3 HD's in it running Win95. I wanted to upgrade a few things so took at the two extra HD's and bought a Maxtor 60 gig HD. Maxtor has a utility Max Blast to supposedly upgrade your bios into seeing larger HD's. I popped in the 60 gig and the diskette, everything looked fine, bios saw the drive and I copied my OS and 27 gigs worth of info onto the new drive. Took out the new drive and fdisked the old, installing Win98. Put the new drive back on and now my bios will not recognize it. Flashed my bios with an update that included the "see large HD", I still cannot see the new HD with or without the Max Blast utility. So now I have a 60 gig HD with 27 gigs of data on it that I need to recover...arg.

Some advice Tara: when you wish your thread to be moved, it would be much better to ask one of the moderators by e-mail.

It is considered a waste of space to make multiple posts on the same subject in different parts of the forum.
