Just when I think I've heard it all here comes this..http://www.planetaryinvestments.com/

Says you can buy land on the moon and other 'extraterrestrial' bodies (Mars will be avaialable soon!!). It's cheap! 29.99 an acre! I'm sure its legit because you get a lunar deed, lunar map, and lunar constitution and bill of rights (heh?).

Plus you can earn money by selling lunar property!

Wow let's all buy some :t

That's not News at all

it's all old, and has been in stores for years...., since 1998 or 1999

and yes appearently it's real and legit

although, i don't buy it
how can you really claim something so fricking far away?, you can't even see if the land is a piece of flat lunar terrain, or just bunch of rocks

lol :D

i'll buy some the day we can actually land on the Moon ;)

Hmm I think I'll buy land on mars instead. Maybe that mountain that looks like elvis' head. I'll put my mcdonalds on top of that. From what Iv'e seen at the movies there are more aliens on mars than the moon, so hopefully they like big macs and business will be good. I wonder if I'll need a drive-thru.....

lol there's always the theory the human race hasn't actually landed on the moon yet, and the original moon landing was all faked. Not sure if I buy that at all...

i vote, for the Serious Dubious paranoid group :D

with the technology we had way back then... it was more likely for them to have HOLLYWOOED the whole thing, like Armageddon, than actualy been there done that

The only $29.99 acre I'd be interested in is the one the Eagle landed on. Hmmmmm.... I wonder how many times a shrewed con posing as a Baptist Minister could sell it on agreement of sale before someone found someone already living on it with an earlier agreement of sale? :p

i would want to buy land on Venus. although it's the hottest planet, it's been predicted that if there was a large supply of water, the planet could actually be inhabitable because it has a warm climate and it has a good atmosphere. it's actually quite similar to earth :D

Way back when? We made it too the moon with that technology, it's not a fake. It'd been harder to produce the fake back then with what they had than to actually do it.!!!!

As for venus being habitable, ha!!! 900 degrees, (hotter than the melting point of lead) Air pressure 100 times greater than here (that'd squash ya flat) and sulfuric acid rain, I'd like to see anyone try to live there longer than the 30 seconds or so it'd take to die from those hellish conditions.

i saw a presentation on that planet on discovery channel that said it has extremely hot conditions because of a low supply of water and excessively dense atmosphere.

the guy on tv (i think he was a chemist) said the atmosphere could be thinned out a little by removing extra sulfur and phosphorus by using some chemical process (he didn't explain the actual process).

it seems feasable really, all the planet needs is a thinner atmosphere (much thinner than earth's) and a huge supply of water to control climate.

a lot of Discovery Channel is based on "if" and "maybe" but much of it has truth to it.

I think the moon belongs to the Americans because they have the capital to own it. We, Singaporeans, can only dream of reaching the planetary orbit.

Enjoy and don't forget to shoot some photos of the moon base!

if you 2 countries don't stop fighting, we'll blow up the moon then there won't be any moon for either of you :D

If we blow up the moon, what will happen to Earth? Natural disasters will destroy the human civilization...

Well I guess an acre on the Moon is better then roids on Uranus.

isnt that a scam?

ShawnD1

of course it's a scam. there's no way of mapping out whcih area of moon is yours because they can't exactly send surveyers up there to check.

AllGamer

yeah way back then the Discovery Channel had a show about it

and although they do have all the prove and Goverment "allow" ok to do that

they concluded the show saying that even if it's true it was made for kids, as a "toy" and not for real people to buy hundreds of acrees for you to build a casino on the moon :D

it was used to encourage kids to become astrounauts and stuff

i guess it never worked
