Hello...

Can't think what I'm doing wrong...

I'm knocking up a small site for a friend, trying to link to some files for people to download.

I'm using the ... link but the browser opens another window (I'm using a frameset) I can simulate D/L by right clicking and selecting save target as..., but really i want the user to get the option box 'Open/Save/Cancel' when they L/Click on it...

any clues?

the only way to do that would be to link to a file that Windows / I.E doesn't recognise and doesn't think it can stream from t'internet.

The only other way would be to get them to install a download manager (I still like Go!zilla 3.5 as a standalone) and use that to capture the link.

tks for your reply... I dunno what was going on, I've uploaded to the net and it's all fine now... it was odd, Windoze was playing ball with other types of media files, but messing with the MP3's...

good ol' XP...
