I'm sorry what do you mean by dual proccessors do you mean you can put two proccessors on one mobo. If I'm right does it double speed and what would you want it for?(sorry i feel stupid now)

Anyone know what the best motherboard for dual processors is? Also, should I wait for the dual AMD one to come out or should I go with intel? Note: I'm using this as a web/game server.

The main issue is price. You could get a pretty cheap setup with a dual s370 board and a couple of ppga celeron (533 and below). Or you could spend an *ss load and get the decked out mobos with dual/scsi/enet.
I had a Asus p2b-ds (kinda expensive for what you get) for a while and it was great. I sold it a while back and right now have a Abit bp6 with dual 366 (o/c'ing to come). This is a good cheap board, and I have no complaints with it.

Your speed is not doubled. You really cannot compare single cpu dual cpu systems that way. A second cpu allows you to run two processes at the same time. Normally on a single cpu computer the processes each get a share of the cpu cycles. On a dual system there are two cpus to offer cycles.
The reason you cannot say that the mhz has doubled...
overhead for bus management... there is still only one ram area and only one video card etc...
not all processes can run concurrently... the both need to use the serial port
the programs may not be able to take advantage of the dual system... a program is deisgned to run as a single process instead of many
*This all assumes that you OS can support it (*nix, Solaris, BeOS, Win NT, Win 2k, Win XP)

I just got an MSI 6321 (694Pro) for dual processors. I plan to put a couple of $96 PIII 750 fcpga's in late rthis week. It is on the way. This is going into a graphic designer's system.
