Yeah, I know, this is EXACTLY what it seems... Well, not quite.

Im intrested about hearing from you, what would be the BEST (forget money, Im talking about performance) combination of hardware for PC today? Im asking this out of curiosity since altought Im not a total newbie, Im not quite familiar with the "latest" stuff (which comes to the market in the states first, not here Finland).

CPU, motherboard/chipset, RAM, HD:s (IDE/SCSI), display driver and DVD/CD-roms.

Come on, lets hear it! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

hmmmmm, lets see, well If I had the money I would go for:

Tyan K7 Thunder dual mobo
2 x AMD ATHLON Thunderbird 1.4gb
512mb PC2100 DDR ram (the mobo supports upto 4gb, but I dont really have a use for that much)
2 x Cheetah 73.4GB 10,000rpm 160000K SCSI LVD SCA hard drives
1 x Maxtor MaxAttach NAS 4100, 320GB, External hard drive (why not)
1 x Gullimont Gametheature XP soundcard
1 x Prophet Geforce 3
1 x Yamaha CRW2200 CDRW
1 x Hollywood Plus DVD decoder card
1 x DVD drive (not sure what type, probably a pioneer)
1 x some sort of TV/Video capture card

umm probably missed some stuff, but not thinking too much at the moment http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
