I just cant help myself sometimes. After having my Jukebox Zen for 2 weeks coriosity took over

http://www.nomadworld.com/products/jukebox_zen/
what hard drive did this baby have, due to the size it was apperant it was a normal laptop hd

open cover, see what it says find hd and here we have it

http://hdd.fujitsu.com/global/drive/mhs2xxx/catalog.html

please note that I have a 20GB hd in my mp3 player.
if you look here: http://www.dabs.com/products/prod-search.asp?action=search&tid=734&mid=420&ob=manufacturer&obd=asc&stab=ref

you will see it cost £70!! now with a cpu and an lcd and a good batterie and the case the whole thing cant be worth more then £160. using a simple os etc etc from your older jukeboxes keeps the cost down too

and i paid £280 for it.

its worth it but definiatly overpriced! well at least i can always upgrade my mp3 players hd (just need to get an adapted and use drive image to copy hd to another hd and put it back in the mp3, it works, has been done)

Doc, good to hear you got your iPod - it was quite a wait! My 10 GB iPod is still working great - I use it all the time! :)

As far as not being able to use the iPod on more than one computer, I pulled this from Apple's website (http://www.apple.com/ipod/autosync.html):
Updating your iPod music collection
Let’s say you have a Mac or PC at home and another at school or work. When you first connect iPod with your Mac or PC, iPod recognizes it as your primary computer. From then on, it automatically updates your music on iPod to match the music library on that computer. When you connect to a different Mac or PC, a dialog box asks if you want to link your iPod with this new iTunes Library, in effect making it your new primary computer. Updating is as simple as that.

I read in a review that if the mp3 u have on ur ipod arent on the machine it wont let u transfer it to that machine. copy protection

nevermind!

BOTH players are ****ing fantastic little devices, but for comparison sake if anyone is thinking about getting one and doesnt know which one

Zen:
Bigger then ipod and heavier
doesnt look as cool
better sound quality (dont know about new ipods but is proably the same now)
easy transfer from and to zen you can copy music between pc easily and FILES!
14H battery life (real eastiminate is 10 for me)
the dam remote isnt out yet but it will have recording capability and radio

Ipod:
smaller lighter cooler looking
only 8 hours battery life (realisticly propably less)
15gb and higher come with remote and cradel
can only copy audio files, in the review it says it crashes quite a few times (firmware update will fix that)
you can play games and get a calender/memo feature (maybe a firmware update will add that to the zen?)

What both can do (now):
create playlists, both store loads of music, nearly same price

can you delet tracks of the ipod without having it connected to your machine??

Audio recording would be really nice like the Zen has, along with an AM / FM radio tuner. :)
