My fingers are crossed that this will be a reality........... I looks like the new P4 C 2.4 800 mhz processor will follow in the footsteps of the famous Celeron 300 and P4 1.6 as overclocking miracles.

Oh I'm definately going back to Intel on my next personal build. I forsee AMD severly losing the race during the next year.

Yah, and I know some AMD devotee is going to say "but wait till they release the 64bit athalon's". Same can be said for Intel.

Right now it's too early to predict if AMD will really screw up with A64.

Doing less more often tends to outweigh doing more less often in the long run, so eventually prescott will inch ahead of A64. But it shouldn't be much more than the difference between the 3000+ and 3.0CGHz today.

That being said, the 2.4C is an incredible clocker, with massive FSB bandwidth to boot.

6,7,8 GB/s? What serving do you desire, sir? :D
