benchmarking a switch ?

Hello, is there any software I can use to test a switch & see if it's better than another ?

thing is im gonna buy a new switch soon & since they are so affordable now, I want to get the best possible !

there is but it cost money

so is a hell lot easier

to transfer a 1 gig file over your switch and measure it on your own, with a stop watch ;)
