I am planning to build myself a new PC. I 've narrowed my choice down to these two Intel boards (I don't OC), I don't know which one to get.

Intel D845GEBV2L - onboard video and sound

Intel D845PEBT2 - onboard sound.

I have a Radeon 9000 video card, so whether there is onboard video or not, I don't have to spend extra money on a video card.

I would build my PC with celeron 2.0 first and plan to upgrade to P4 3.0 in about a year.

Please advise.

Any reason why? the onboard video and sound can be turned off.

If you want to pay for something you're not going to use, go ahead. It's your money.

6-channel on-board sound is pretty decent these days. I don't know a lot about the Intel chipsets, but I know enough to avoid RAMBUS like the plague. Choose a DDR chipset, which I think the 845 is.
As for on-board video, it will increase the price of the mainboard by quite a bit, and there's no reason to go there if you already have the ATI card, a better quality component by any measure.

if you can stretch to it now, it would be a better idea to buy the p4 now, saves money overall
