Do ATA66 controller cards make a difference over ata33 on current ata66 7200rpm drive

I read a while back that the difference between the two was minimal when the only ata66 HD's out were 5400 rpm's. Well, I now have a quantum ka...nice and fast on my BH6 with ata33 controller on board. I'm just curious if anyone has gotten a controller card and noticed/not noticed a difference between the two on a next generation 7200 drive like the quantum or IBM.
