hold Windows ME and Windows 2000, one in each hand, and extended outwards, as if in a sacrificial stance. Chant random words. Imagine a product that contains a likeness of each, but is bigger, slower, and will render many of your cheap toys useless. Visualize a graphical interface that panders to the poorly educated and simple minded (liberals). Now prepare your soul for possession.

Free yourself, and use a free OS.

The way MS are running the licence on this product is like shooting themselves in the foot, most people who buy an OS want to own it not rent it.

In a few years time with IBM now comminting 1 Billion USD to Linux development, we will all be running Linux and Staroffice with MS relagated to an Archived OS on antique systems
It might be good but it's also slow and is becoming MS's biggest curse (Bloatware Oh for 95USB support windows, what potential for Improvement without taking up half the hard drive and ram)

I think the licensing for private users will be different from that of businesses.

It may a bit more lax.

Well I didn't see anything that impressed me. Guess I will just stay with my old win98 FE.
I dought that microsoft will be lax on anything. He (as in Bill) wants to have total control over the computer software market. If he knew he wouldn't be back in court agin. He would probably make it where you only could us MS software and games only.

To me this it looks a little to bulky and flashy.. too many icons that look blown up in your face I like to keep my OS nice and simple not all blown up in my face making suggestions as to what I should click..

LOL Out http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Any of these new MS products (like Office XP) is full of MORON features. I don't need frickin' internet help by clicking here or there. I don't need more "integration". SHUT UP AND GIVE ME A WORD PROCESSOR!

BTW, I will not be buying this "new" OS. If they are going to track my license or whatever **** they are trying to pull - no way, no how. I will get Win2k (eventually) and NOT anymore sinful average joe consumer OS's.
