DIE HARD NAKATOMI PLAZA IN XP

i have a 1.2gig K7s5A motherboard with loadz of ram and enuf hard drive space. im using a geforce 4 AGP 64mb.
im running windows xp. the problem i am havin is when the game is installed i double click on the icon on the desktop but nothings happens, some times the game loads. i.e. straight after the installation. and after then the game doesnt work. ive got a patch from the game developers web site, but not change there.
ive also updated drivers for my video card, as again no change there.

is there somethink im missing

Make syre your Direct X is up to date. Oh and btw, that game really is appalingly bad :(

yeah well, the PC spec does seem enuff

but exactely HOW MUCH RAM do you have?

if you have more than 500 meg

try dissabling PageFile

it does magic

ive updated my direct x to direct x 8.1 ive got about 300 meg of ram in my system. wats that file thing u where on about. (The person who sent me the last message) how do i do that??

ive tried the page file thing but that doesnt work. do u think i need to use the SP1 of win xp

Now I'm convinced that Win XP can't play a lot of computer games. I 'condemn' Win XP completely.

Win XP will play this game as i have played this game on winxp in the past, still didnt detract from the fact it was bloody awful though. Pagefile should have nothing to do with it, update all your drivers if they arent already and give that a crack

i think it mus be a bug in xp. cos the otherday i bought vietcong and played it staight after installation and it worked perfect.
and like today when i got home i booted up my system and put the cd in and nothing happened. exactly the same prob i have with die hard.

so there must be an error in xp u reacon?

i also had this prob with mafia a while back, and the exact same problem happened. so i think i reinstalled the OS again

Sound smor eliek a problem with your machine itself to me, both of these games will run fine under XP, i kno because i have ran them on it myself, this is not an OS issue. Check your drivers and check for any patches if necessary

I played in one stage that I'm stuck. I've saved a hostage from a small office and one terrorist managed to set fire on the office level and two of us have to flee from the fire. But we rushed into a big office and could not find a way out. I managed to find a fire extinguisher but it got limited carbon dioxide and I can't put out the fire. After retrying for several times, I got fed up and uninstalled the stupid game.

but wat i dont understand is that the other day i reinstalled my OS and the games and they both worked fine and played brilliant. then today i loaded up the pc as usual and stick the cd in the drive and it auto runs ok, then click to play the game on and nothing happens, ive used scan disk and other virus resources. i dont think it can be the graphic drivers as it worked perfectly yesterday and i havent made any changes to the system.
