Seconded...the Deitel book is a nice beginner book. Just don't get too caught up in some of longer examples that come up in the beginning. The basic explanation the book provides is very good.

No. :D

I just learned the basics (i.e. the contents of that book) to get a general understanding of the language (before moving into other stuff). I haven't focused enough on the language to make anything that's too interesting in C++.

$85??? For C++ How to Program (4th Edition)??
Little more than your average programming book! Normally the ones i get have a CD roms, are quite easy and only cost $35.
Never bought a C++ book though, i have decided i need to get one and learn it :) :t :D
