Deitel, Deitel & Associates, Inc. ISBN: 0-13-038474-7 Publisher: Prentice Hall Copyright: 2003 Format: Paper Bound w/CD-ROM; 1408 pp Published: 08/12/2002 A pretty good first book. Good mix of explanation and screenshots. Comes with a cdrom with sample source code. Good luck, c0r3file Cpl_Squirrel 05-09-2003, 12:23 PM Seconded...the Deitel book is a nice beginner book. Just don't get too caught up in some of longer examples that come up in the beginning. The basic explanation the book provides is very good. frnkzks 05-11-2003, 11:11 PM Thirded. Deitel, Deitel is a good book. No. :D I just learned the basics (i.e. the contents of that book) to get a general understanding of the language (before moving into other stuff). I haven't focused enough on the language to make anything that's too interesting in C++. ShawnD1 05-23-2003, 06:29 PM i like the book Practicall C++ Programming :D http://images.amazon.com/images/P/0596004192.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg me likes O'Reilly books. cwin 05-27-2003, 07:35 AM $85???
