Well, you will see a big difference in the system's speed. For $260, that is a bit steep. (175 quid= 262 usd) A 750MHz Duron is around 30usd and the motherboard should not cost 230 usd. So, the upgrade is a good idea, but if UK prices are anywhere in line with US prices, then the price is too high.

im looking to upgrade my cpu, at the moment its a (433 intel celeron) im thinking of a
(750 amd duron) & a new mother board is the upgrade a good one or not worth the £150 or if not what is. please help
