mann, my new puter is killing me. I am still having bufferunderrun or output device failure. I had no problems with my old system. Now I have a Compaq(WinME) 800mhz, 40gig, 128mgRAM(133) TDK burner 8-4-32 (EasyCD Creator 5.0) . HD is on master IDE. CD rom and burner are on the secondary together.(same way I had it on my last puter.) I have
ScanDisk, Defrag, turned DMA off and on. I used EZ 5.0 with Win98 SE with no problem. Is there a conflict with easyCD Creator 5.0 and WinME. I saw a patch for Win2000, but not WinME. Someone said I may need a different serial number for WinME. Could this be possible>>>>>>
EZCD5 sux big time, sorry, but Roxio can't do their work as good as Adaptec http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif ,by all the post I saw regards EZCD5 and OSes, Win98/SE works almost without problem, ME and especially 2000 crash totally, even after uninstall of EZCD5.
So, use Win98 or switch to Nero http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
Best Regards ...

I run windows98se and use Adaptec Platinum without a problem. I removed Nero as 5.0 has alot more features. Works good for me.

I've been using NTI CD maker 2000 Pro. Matter of fact, when I upgraded to Win 2000, I couldn't get ezcd5 platinum to work at all. And I like the fact you could record straight from mp3's to cd's too.
But all was lost.
NTI works fine for me on 2000.

Did you upgrade to Version 5.1 yet?
That may fix your problem http://www.roxio.com/en/support/ecdc/ecdcupdates.html

I'm using ez-cd5 on a dual boot Me/2k system with no problems. The only problem I heard about win2k is the take two software. I didn't install it though.
