strange kind of problem, not sure if it fits in this forum, but im developing a hypersensitivity to light. my desktop is too bright, but once im in a game or watching a movie, all is fine.
i've changed the IE background to grey & changed the colour scheme to a custom dark one too, is there anything else I can do ?
I am getting tired to winding down the brightness & contrast (brightness on 0, contrast on 70) for the desktop/browsing/word processing/etc... & then changing it (brightness 60, contrast 100)for games & movies...
help plz !

Might be a longshot but have you checked the contrast/brightness settings of your monitor

I think the nvidia drivers have color correction built in. Go to your display properties, settings tab, advanced button. There should be a tab with the model of your card. Go to that, and on the left of the windows should be a menu with color correction. Play with those options:t

another thing you can check is the Gamma settings in the game

Either buy yourself a better monitor or use Powerstrip to set your gamma per different applications.
I used to have problem like you said when I have my pos
Acer monitor.
I don't have such problem anymore when I switched to Samsung MB series.
Edit. Here's the link for powerstrip download
