Okay, so I found myself wandering through the Office Depot software section yesterday and found a couple of games being cleared out.

Quake Gold (Quake III Arena and Quake III:Team Arena) $7.89.
Soldier of Fortune Platinum $6.89 Even a DX8.0 flight sim: Pearl Harbor for $4.

Now, I already have the non-platinum versions of both Q3 & SOF. But for ~$15.......? At least I could give them away as gifts to friends & family. And for $4 what could I expect?

No One Lives Forever 2 for $20 as well. Betcha it'll come in a bundle with next years' video card purchase (got 2x NOLF1 that way).

I also found at another software store:
Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 for $20. I really want the full version (the demos just won't cut it, and I can't be at my friend's house playing it too much...)
Deus Ex: the Conspiracy $22 PS2 (a gift for a PS2 friend...?)

Methinks I'm just in the mood to shop. Maybe I'll buy socks instead....

I love checking out the gaming bargain bins. I get all kinds of good stuff that way that I just missed the first time around. It's also hard to get upset if you don't like the game but only paid 4 - 20 bucks for it. I'm sure I don't have to mention the feeling of popping $50 for a game you dont like (sinking).

Q3 and HFSHP are worth it. SOF platinum dont offer than much over the original.

At Wal Mart you can pick up the EA Gamers Pack.

It includes C&C Renegade, Freedom Force, Needs for Speed Hot Pursuit 3, and Earth and Beyond. All for about 15 bucks.

Are those the full versions of all or just castrated-versions?

Full versions. I actually found the pack online, only place I found with it was amazon. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00008DPTD/qid=1052268319/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_1/104-2789811-1466326?v=glance&s=videogames&n=507846

Even Wal Mart website didn't have it listed. I think it was cheaper at Wal Mart than on Amazon though. Pretty good deal IMO.
