i got a new samsung 52x burner with the 8mb buf but im having a lil problem with it. the problem is that it burns too slow. i had a 24x digital reashearch and it burn a music cd just under 5 min now this samsung one burns them at over 5 min. what is the problem?

Have you updated the software or are you using the old program? Have you updated to faster CDs? Very few blanks support 52X speeds...

Did you just swap out the drives? Or did you first remove the Digital Research cdrw from Device Manager?

Just be happy... I still use a 2x2x6 SCSI CD burner from 1998 that I paid $400 for. It takes about 40 min. to burn each CD.


Anyone want to buy it? I'll throw in a SCSI card for free.

i just tooked the old one out and put the new one in. did i suppose to delete it off deviced management? my cdr's right now only go up to 40x which the cd burner only burn at 40 because the cd but it shouldnt take longer than my old 24x burner
